I found this article and I thought it was important to share... A big decision many women face is if and when to leave the workforce to start and raise a family. It's a huge decision for us whether to come back immediately or spend time at home with our children, which is equally, if not more, important. We are often forced to decide between our career or our family because we know the more time we take off, the more difficult it is to come back. I liked the ideas suggested in this article because women don't lose brain power and become bad employees because they have kids and taken some time off. Often they are more experienced, and more prepared to dive into projects than other potential candidates. The moral of the story is that it's important for women to realize this and believe that there are ways to 'have it all', and it's important for all of us as future managers and entrepreneurs not to rule out women re-entering the workforce just because they took a time out.
